About me
JLG
I am a bilingual therapist and a domestic violence specialist. For nearly two decades I had advocated for underserved survivors in the United States and my native home of Colombia. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Universidad de la Sabana in Colombia, a master’s degree in Family Violence Intervention from University of Barcelona in Spain, and a MSW from Loyola University Chicago with a concentration in bilingual mental health and immigration studies. I also hold a certificate on trauma and recovery from Harvard Medical School. I am a proud AAUW awardee and was recently recognized by the Red Cross as a Community Hero for my work with the Latinx community in Western North Carolina.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in North Carolina and a licensed psychologist in Colombia.
